Our February meeting featured our newly-elected president, Bernie Tekippe, speaking on escapements and their evolution . He traced their development from verge and foliot, through the recoil anchor escapements, to the Graham deadbeat, and finally the Isochronus escapements. He paid particular attention to their errors, and how each technology improved on the other.

Our new board has been busy organizing for their new terms of office. The treasurer is currently working on a database of Chapter members' horological profiles to be added to the next directory. The new board also approved a discounted 2-year Chapter dues special for those joining or renewing.
