For those who missed the April meeting, you missed something truly magnificent. In fact, many things magnificent! First, the Sichveland's home was beyond impressive. The large, tastefully-decorated rooms were the perfect setting for the many beautiful clocks. The clocks, mostly European wall clocks in exquisite wooden cases, added to the grandeur, and were found on both floors and in the basement. And to top it all off, the Sichvelands themselves were the perfect hosts!
As for new business, the Chapter has agreed to help out with the "Street of Dreams," which is a showcase for interior designers and home builders. Members will be loaning some of their collections to the designers in return for publicity for the Chapter and bragging rights. The display, which is usually set up in a new development, will be from October 7 through November 12. Carol Tekippe and Duane Sichveland volunteered to co-chair the committee.
